This shot was taken in a photography workshop in the Southwest.  Different times of the day presented different photo shooting opportunities.  In this case, the late day "golden hour" helped create the warm colors and the lower contrast in the shadow region.  I enjoyed using a wide angle lens to create the "here" (foreground) to "there" (background) made possible with a verticle format.

Excellent detail and I think you have some really nice lines in this shot.  The rock formation on the right is a touch bright for me - it pulls my eyes away from the rest of the image but other than that it's a great capture from my perspective.

Thanks for the input ... I agree.  I spent a lot of time removing another photographer from this scene using "content aware" fill and didn't notice the bright area which does draw too much attention.  I attached the image after some re-work.
